Hives angioedema, though two completely different skin problems are very closely related to each other. Hives is a skin problem characterized by pale or pink raised wheals which sometimes are surrounded by a red halo and usually are itchy in nature.
Angioedema is a skin problem characterized by the rapid swelling of large areas of dermis or tissues just below the skin. It is not itchy in nature but the patient may feel a burning sensation.
Any of these two problems can cause extreme distress, but having both of these at once can make life very difficult for the patient. If you are having this problem, you need to get treatment from a doctor promptly.
