The most common symptom of urticaria is a small swelling on the skin  from an allergic or non-allergic cause. This may result in a burning sensation and can be extremely painful for the patient. This is called a urticaria wheal or just a wheal  and is found in most of the patients.

Urticaria wheals are found in many different types of urticaria and can appear on any part of the patient’s body. They are mostly red in color, however, they also can come in pale, yellow and white colors. If you want to learn more about urticaria wheals, click here to read my detailed article.
